HiveOne

Wearable fNIRS, brought into your lab and beyond

Contact Us

Measure the brain's haemodynamic response wherever your research takes place. HiveOne is a wearable functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) system that captures cortical activity during real cognitive tasks, movement, and social interaction, without tethering participants to a lab bench. Built on a world-first Silicon Photomultiplier sensor, it delivers laboratory-grade signal quality in a fully mobile headcap.

HiveOne is developed and manufactured by optohive AG, Zurich.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Why Choose HiveOne

A world-first sensor

Silicon Photomultiplier (SiPM) detectors deliver over 80 dB dynamic range and sub-picowatt sensitivity

See both sides of the responses

Triple-wavelength LED sources (735, 810, and 850 nm) measure oxygenated and deoxygenated haemoglobin simultaneously

Setup in under ten minutes

Optodes click magnetically into the cap holder with adjustable contact force

Motion recorded, not guessed

A 6-axis IMU in every optode supports artefact detection and correction in naturalistic paradigms

Freedom to move

Wireless recording, a three-hour battery, and an IP40-rated design supports mobile paradigms beyond the recording booth

Open by design

Open SNIRF data works directly with MNE-Python, Homer3 and Cedalion

Synchronises with your setup

Lab Streaming Layer (in and out) and 16/16 optically decoupled TTL triggers connect HiveOne with the
ANT Neuro eego™ EEG recording systems, tDCS, eye tracking, and stimulus software on a shared timeline.
