ANT Neuro and optohive Partnership

Bringing HiveOne fNIRS to Researchers Worldwide
ANT Neuro is pleased to announce a strategic collaboration with optohive AG, the Swiss developer of the HiveOne fNIRS system, to bring functional near-infrared spectroscopy to research groups across Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Australia.

Through this partnership, HiveOne becomes available to the research community ANT Neuro has served for nearly three decades. Groups working in cognition, mobility, hyperscanning, and applied neuroscience can now source fNIRS through the same regional teams that support their EEG work, with local sales contact and first-line technical support in their own market.

The partnership also extends beyond distribution. Both companies have agreed to jointly develop a combined EEG–fNIRS recording solution. The system will pair ANT Neuro's eego EEG technology with optohive's HiveOne in a hybrid cap that holds both sensor types, with the two data streams synchronized through Lab Streaming Layer.

Concurrent electrophysiological and hemodynamic recording has long been a goal in neuroscience research. What has slowed its adoption is the setup work, which individual labs have largely had to solve themselves. This collaboration is intended to remove that barrier.

" To realize our vision for true multimodal brain research, we were looking for a partner whose drive for innovation matches ours and optohive's approach to fNIRS stood out. Their novel usability design and sensitive sensor technology we believe will create a new benchmark in research fNIRS that we are excited bring to the market. Our joint ambition is to create a solution with our eego amplifier that makes multimodal recordings extremely simple to set up and run. "

Dr. Martijn Schreuder
CEO of ANT Neuro

" When we started developing fNIRS instrumentation over a decade ago, our vision was to take brain imaging to the next level and give researchers a tool that can accelerate new discoveries. The HiveOne embodies that vision, and combining it with EEG is the logical next step. EEG and fNIRS capture complementary aspects of brain activity, and bringing them together gives researchers a more complete picture of the brain. With ANT Neuro's decades of expertise in EEG and our next-generation fNIRS technology, we have the ideal partnership to bring both worlds together in a powerful tool for multimodal neuroscience research. "
