For many years, the cerebellum was considered to be mainly important for sensorimotor control, but compelling evidence shows that the cerebellum is involved in a broad range of cognitive functions. Importantly, the cerebellum forms functional loops with cortical structures to implement motor and cognitive tasks. It was hypothesized that flexible communication within the cerebellum and across cortico-cerebellar loops is mediated via oscillatory activity. In this webinar, our speaker will discuss recent evidence that demonstrates cerebellar oscillatory activity in a visuomotor adaptation task through novel placement of EEG electrodes.

Dr. Elinor Tzvi-Minker is a Senior Clinical Neuroscientist at the Neurology Dept. at Leipzig University and Syte Institute. She is specialized in the field of motor learning, movement disorders and neuromodulation and published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers in leading journals in the field.
