Advancements and challenges in EEG source imaging.

Event Date:
Wednesday, October 14, 2020
Event Location:

High-density electroencephalographic (EEG) and magnetoencephalography (MEG) systems provide us with a powerful tool to study neuronal brain dynamics with high temporal and usable spatial resolution. By applying source analysis methods to scalp recordings, neuronal activities in specific brain areas can be reconstructed with milliseconds resolution enabling real-time imaging of the temporal dynamics of whole-brain neuronal networks. In this webinar, the principles of EEG source imaging will be introduced and we are going to discuss current advancements and challenges based on exemplary, ongoing work of the Functional Brain Mapping Lab in Geneva.

The presenter is Dr. Martin Seeber who studied Electrical and Biomedical Engineering at the Graz University of Technology and received his PhD in 2017 from the Laboratory of Brain-Computer Interfaces. Afterwards he joined the Functional Brain Mapping Lab of Christoph Michel at the University of Geneva. He currently is working as postdoctoral researcher focusing on EEG source imaging based analyses and research of spontaneous, large-scale brain dynamics.

The registration deadline is 24:00 (CET) on October 12th.
