Waveguard cap system - size chart

The medium-large Waveguard will fit approximately 65% of all patients over the age of 5. The small cap will fit primarily children from the ages of 2 to 5 years. The extra small cap will fit most children from 9 months to 2 years of age.

All adult and infant caps can be delivered with 32 or 64 channels. Only caps larger than size Small can be provided with 128 channels.

Sizes in age are approximate; the patient should always be measured to determine proper cap size.

Neonatal
The size of the Waveguard Neonatal caps is descriped with the number of a doll. The following chart will be updated shortly to list the circumference of each doll's head.

The maximum number of electrodes for this type of caps is 32 channels, except for doll #5 which can also be provided with 64 channels.

At the normal positions of FC1 and FC2, no electrodes are placed, instead, the cap has openings (for other sensors or clinical wires, i.e. IV line).

  • Doll #5: size 34-36 cm (fullterm; 37-43wks)
  • Doll #4: size 31-33 cm (34-37wks)
