This ANT/Duke 128ch WaveGuard cap is based on a mostly equidistant hexagon layout; all electrodes have 6 neighboring electrodes at equal spacing (e.g., 20 mm for a large size cap).

This scheme includes more lower positions; together with the near-perfect spatial distribution this is beneficial for source localization.

The layout is illustrated in two schematic representations: a 2D projection of the actual locations, and a special schematic drawing that highlights the hexagon arrangement. A sub-selection of 45 equidistant electrodes is available for quick examinations.
