
| Connecting the WaveGuard cap |
| Most EEG headboxes are equipped with Touchproof connectors, usually intended for connecting individual Touchproof electrodes. WaveGuard EEG electrode caps connect to any EEG headbox with Touchproof inputs. WaveGuard caps are equipped with special connectors to make connecting and disconnecting to EEG headboxes quick and easy. In case the WaveGuard cap connector does not fit directly to the EEG headbox it can be connected by one of our adapters. The installation is straightforward, as is displayed in the figure below. |

The first picture shows the adapter, with its individual Touchproof connectors inserted to the EEG headbox. The other side of the adapter is free to connect the WaveGuard cap. In the second picture, the WaveGuard cap is connected to the adapter, and ready for EEG recording. | ![]() |
| One WaveGuard connector can contain up to 32 EEG electrodes. This means that a 64 electrode WaveGuard cap will have two connectors. For each connector, one corresponding adapter is required. ANT also supplies WaveGuards that are compatible with the Electro-Cap caps, where electrode layout and connector are identical. The 25 pin connector plugs directly into the EEG headbox, and eliminates the use of any adapter. |
