ASA integrates with all current MEG file formats and allows to directly open and read MEG/EEG data without export of files. The program is perfectly able to show MEG and EEG data in different displays, to change the sensitivity, color and filter settings interactively for individual channels, groups of channels (e.g. anatomical groups such as left frontal, left temporal etc.), or for the whole montage. This way, clinical review of high-density data (300 MEG channels plus 64 EEG plus EKG, for example) can be easily performed using ASA.

The package provides you all signal analysis and source reconstruction methods for EEG as well as for MEG, applying realistically shaped head models. In MEG the task of creating a head model is easier, since only the brain boundary needs to be reconstructed from MRI. Calculations are so fast that within seconds you have the dipole or MUSIC solution of a MEG spike or evoked field component co-registered with the anatomy of the subject.
