| ANT has taken up the distribution of Magstim equipment in the Netherlands. The Magstim range of magnetic nerve stimulators are widely used within the field of Neurology and Neurophysiology. Magstim 200-2 and Bistim systems are used both as an accepted diagnostic tool to test nerve conduction and nerve velocity in the diagnosis of any nerve degenerative disease. Magstim Rapid rapid rate stimulators are used for repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS). They are used to stimulate both brain tissue and other peripheral nerve tissue with the goal of understanding different aspects of their function. In the context of brain stimulation there is strong evidence to suggest that rTMS can provide useful and therapeutic effects in the treatment of varying psychiatric disorders such as obsessive compulsive disorder, schizophrenia and drug resistant depression. |
